Just figure, those cat fish aren’t the biggest catch. —Fishers in northern Thailand netted this huge catfish in the Mekong River on May 1. Nearly nine feet long (2.7 meters) and as big as a grizzly bear, the behemoth tipped the scales at 646 pounds (293 kilograms). Experts say the fish, which belongs to the species known as the Mekong giant catfish, may be the largest freshwater fish ever recorded. Source National Geographic Mag.

For the record and those of you who want to criticise: I am a 31 yr old female that lives in WV. I have an Associate degree in science, I’m a RN (with a valid and non-restricted license), I currently work running heavy equipment through the local union, I’ve worked and put myself through school while raising my 3 children myself. Now criticise us rednecks. When shit goes bad, I’ll take a good ol’ Redneck any day.

To the people worried about the fish: how is this worse than using a bait and hook, even with catch and release, this is more humane.
To the people worried about the intelligence level of these guys: accents and extra curricular activities have nothing to do with intelligence, apparently something you’ve never realized with your nose stuck in the air, and I’d rather be stuck on the planet any day with these guys than your snobby asses.

@7477238 How is is my loss? I will never go noodling. You didn’t even see my response about the aliens did you? You just have to jump to conclusions again and again and again. So that is your loss. Jumping to conclusions and assuming will get you nowhere in life. And just because seals are endangered and fish are not, doesn’t mean they have to torture the fish.
