The Inimitable Ray Wylie Hubbard tells the story of his inspiration behind his classic song “Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother”. This was filmed at Jerry Jeff walker’s Birthday Bash at the Paramount Theater in Downtown Austin Texas. You can see Jerry Jeff laughing in disbelief as Ray says to him “I made this story a lot better since the last time you heard it”

Livin’ in Dallas for 20 years and seeing Ray Wylie at some shows pissed out of his mind on who knows what, he can maked up all sorts of shit about this song…It is his joy to pull motherfucker’s legs sometimes…I like this version as well as any..Who Knows and Who really care. I just know that my Freshman year in 1975 in College my frat brother’s and I got drunk as hell on J. Jeff Walker’s version…

I don’t know what it really was when Ray Wylie was in Red River — it is now the Mother Lode and Bull of the Woods. Just before New Years, Mother Lode had a helluva band playing there. Just a bunch of Cowboys and Ski Patrol there now. I love the place. Saw Ray Wylie in a bar in Norman OK in the 80’s, he played to a packed bar of probably 80 people … I remember him doing “Long Black Veil” … she walks these hills in a long black veil …

Of course it was a stab at the rednecks that hadn’t fully converted yet – Willie did it on the pilot episode of Austin City Limits and the entire band could barely contain themselves – it was awesome.

@TurnipsMAPPING Ok, I will concede your point. I have done many larger tires in the same fashion with either and I have never sprayed more than 3-4 seconds of the arisol spray into a tire cavity. Since the fumes are flamable and they can spread very quickly around the whole rim, I have never had one that did not take. Either way, I respect your input.

@inilledra 3 seconds of ether would not put a 44″ on… However that definitely was overkill.

WAYYYYY To much Ether………………………..you only need 3 seconds worth. All I can say is good for you that you did not blow that tire OFF of the rim.

My spouse and i got now delighted that Albert could do his homework through the precious recommendations he gained out of your web pages. It’s not at all simplistic just to continually be giving out secrets that many a number of people might have been trying to sell. And we all understand we’ve got the blog owner to appreciate for that. Those explanations you have made, the easy web site navigation, the relationships you aid to foster it’s got mostly astonishing, and it’s aiding our son and our family reason why that subject matter is thrilling, and that’s exceptionally pressing.
