although i’m british and lived in the uk all my life and only ever spent 6 weeks in the usa this kind of stirs something inside…a longing for i past i never had..? weird but brilliant……….

Hey thanks for the interest! Yes they two names were kinda interchangeable. Was the same core lineup and it’s a shame they couldn’t stay together and record into the 30’s. Actually my great grandfather didn’t record much after a certain point in his career. He toured and did radio shows and formed different bands along the way. correct me if im wrong, because I could be, but The Hill Billies only recorded and released six songs in 25, and Bristol Tennesse Blues (or East Tennesse Blues) was not one of the six songs they recorded for Okeh in 25. Charlie Bowman composed East Tennesse Blues but it was was not recorded until 26. Charlie Bowman was not a part of the band during their first two recording sessions (of which the the second session was the only session where the songs were released). Charlie joined the band in
