@weenielongus Hot TV moms/housewives (in no particular order): Barbara Eden; Elizabeth Montgomery; Patricia Heaton; Donna Reed; Mary Tyler Moore; Carolyn Jones; Inger Stevens; Courtney Thorne-Smith; the mom on “Karen” (can’t recall her name); Diahann Carroll; the woman who plays George Lopez’s wife; Katey Sagal . . . those are the ones I came up with at one sitting. Any more to add?

True, Laura Petrie was a sexy housewife, but I thought the last seasons of “Bewitched” and “I Dream of Jeannie” had 2 of the hottest housewives to ever come down the pike!! Samantha Stevens and Jeannie were rockin’ those mini-skirts in the final seasons of those shows, much more sexy than at the start of those series!!!! They just got better with age…

    thanks for share!

Elly was the first gal to wear tight jeans on TV!

I read that sponsors (General Mills? Kellogs?) lobed to have Jethro eat from an enormous salad bowl. Max Baer, Jr., wasn’t so fond of eating all that cereal, however, and would often be too full from the commercial to eat lunch. (He claimed the other cats would intentionally mess up their line sto see how much they could force him to eat.)

This is the insidious old-school technique of making product plugs look like part of the show — same actors, same characters, same sets. They had been doing it since radio days, right thru into early TV (e.g. the Goldbergs, where the main character Molly G. would just turn toward the camera every 8-10 minutes for 30 seconds or so and recite the sponsor’s pitch, “neighbor-to-neighbor.” Not sure if this stuff was banned by the FCC, or just fell out of favor, or what, but they don’t do it now.

@reccoskwah and you know the corn flakes isn’t gonna fill him up either, even if he eats the whole box in one sitting..lol

  15. RoyFive

Second cousins, in fact. Jed and Pearl were first cousins. But Jethro called Jed “Uncle Jed” and Elly called Pearl “Aunt Pearl” mostly for the sake of convenience.

  16. noisepuppet

um, arent they supposed to be siblings?

  17. reccoskwah

“One of these days I’m gonna have to have a LONG talk with that boy!”

Ooooo, an educated inbred, how special!
Hows the air up there in the sixth grade? Must be prety thin, like those lips. Man, I reckin your having a hee haw time too.
Nooo, I tried, I can’t fine anything funnier then you things

  25. ModGirl1967

Nah, this was so phony it was absurd. Your misspelling is what’s funny here — it’s spelled “inbreeding” and “yee haw” for future reference. Reckin’ ye grad-e-ated 5th grade?

  26. RJRanke

Elly May sure did,”girl up,”over the years. She was so lovely, natural and could be very sweet.I used to think she was the most beautiful girl on television-from when I was around 10 until I was 21.

  27. nvmarcus

  29. rayssonation

TV Land has butchered this sitcom to the death. Why? They didn’t even mentioned the pilot episode when the TV Land did a marathon of the series back in 2008.
Out of some 274 episodes, they’re some that are mentioned as the lost episodes of The Beverlyu Hillbillies.

  30. rayssonation

You’re so right!!! When TV Land did a survey of the best looking women in TV history, they didn’t even mention actress Donna Douglas on the list. Donna Douglas was a great actress and how did TV Land do her unjustice??? The actress once dated Elvis Presley and star in a movie opposite the King!!!

  31. cossack207

TV Land is turning to a VERY BAD station!!
they took off this show in the afternoons and put that new show on–Makes me sick!
you are right Elly should have been one of the top women–

  32. RTSiciliano

I wish I could find me some of them new kind of dollars!!!

  33. kes1963

when tv land did a survey of the best looking women in tv history, elly may wasnt even on that list. the ones who were participated in the survey must have been stupid

  37. CandaceDueck

    this is so hilarius

  38. Eliopolous

I have this episode in my safe deposit box and I watch it on the first Tuesday of each month. As Nostradamous once stated: “There will be a time when the poor will be rich, and the greed of earth’s Drysdale’s will be tenfold.”

  39. cocols21

Hi MiscVideos78rpm, I accepted the invite but nothing happened what do I do???? Totally yours, Amber
