I was told the term redneck came about that time from the migrant farm workers (citizens) whose daily work in the fields created a burned neck. But this is based on colloquial evidence and not an academic study on etymology. It came from a family that used to live in the Ozarks and moved to the Missouri flatlands just before the dustbowl/depression. But then what to rednecks and migrant workers know?

Or somebody in between. The one who required that lenders make risky loans (aka subprime). The one that broke his economic guru’s (Keynes) rules and let the economy run too hot. He set us up for the housing/lending crash like the roaring 20’s set us up for the WS crash in 1929. Obama is acting like FDR by delayed the recovery and desperately looking for a war to help.

No, the term was coined in the 30’s, when a group of miners decided to nconfront the mine owners about conditions in the mines. They all traveled to Blair Mountain in West Va. or Va. and wore red rags around their trhoats to identify themselves to each other.

The term Redneck was first used to describe mine workers a long time ago. Because of the red cloths they would wear over their face and around their necks. It meant back then that you was a hard working person. It has now been turned into something way different.

Don’t get me wrong,I like Jerry, I laugh at his jokes. He was a funny guy,but I like OUR President too. Remember this is america, where all things are equal, I thought. wrong, he always did jokes about his dad, he stopped when he died it brought back hard memories. He started again after he made peace with his deceased dad.

Canada has two official languages which is English and French. You are better off learning English unless you are going to live in either New Brunswick or Quebec otherwise you are learning French.
