Only thing inaccurate about the book and movie is that in real life. The KKK would have butchered the two men since they dislike kiddy rapers more than blacks and other non whites.

In America there are roughly 30000 white women raped by black men in a year. Roughly 0 black women are raped by white men in a year (see FBI Uniform crime report). This movie is right up there with “Lord of the Rings” in terms of realism.

How do you guys buy the reality of this movie, if at all?

I’m a guy from Asia and I have been studying about China’s long history of how different ethnic groups have been living together.
This film interested me that it showed how different people in the U.S. view each other.Since it looks like there is a heated debate, I’d like to ask a few questions.
First, is this movie pretty close to what is going on in the deep south of U.S.A.? I am not a stupid man so I don’t just simply fall for illusions created by Hollywood.
