The powerhouse voice we know as Maleficent from Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty”, the evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine from Disney’s “Cinderella”, as well as the ghoulish voice of Madam Leota in the Disney Park attraction, “The Haunted Mansion”, guest stars on an episode of “The Beverly Hillbillies”. What a tremendous voice talent — truly unmatched. PS: For the hardcore geeks, please note the ridiculously fantastic & unmistakable Maleficent delivery of her line at 1:06.

She really does look like Lady Tremaine, i think that’s awesome how Disney drew Lady Tremaine to look like Eleanor.

Eleanor Audley is like a drag queen, her roles were always very over the top and very sarcastic bitchy types. Maleficent and Lady Tremaine are very drag-a-licious ha ha! that’s why gay men love them so much, ( I am a gay man myself) and I immitate them in my drag shows, and also during Halloween, they fit me perfectly, I can even do her voice too.

Eleanor Audley died and so did Victor Spinetti who used to do a voice of the villain of Texas Pete from Superted. But thank goodness Jonathan Freeman is still around.

Did she say her name as Maleficent on the phone? It almost sounded like it.

I grew up only with her roles of Lady Tremaine and Maleficent. With this and other shows I’ve seen recently with her like “Green Acres” and “Mister Ed”, it’s official that my mind is spinning with her due to the images of her in the real world and the images I grew up with her as the two great animated villainesses that scarred me when I was little. GOD, her voice is so recognizable!
RIP Eleanor Audley, I wish I knew ye.

This entire episode is really funny! Eleanor Audley guest starred in a total of 3 episodes of Beverly Hillbillies. This is the only one I’ve ever seen, she’s so great!
