The Real History of the 1st Declaration of Independence, Did you know there were 2?

Please help support us and check out all my novels at www.lupolit.com Did you know the original Declaration of Independence was signed four years before the one that is celebrated on July 4th. A group of Appalachia Hill folk declared themselves independent from the British years before the rest of the nation. We explore the history of the Watauga association and the battle of Kings mountain. See how a loose band of hillbillies were really the first free settlement in the colonies.

Good report! I’m directly descended from Michael Hyder who was part of the Watauga settlement. He was advanced in years by the time of King’s Mountain so he stayed at Watauga to ward off any attacks from the Cherokee.

Ty very much, did not know that.

I give Washington full credit for both Trenton and for walking away from power. Not much more, but that’s enough for one lifetime.
    .
Would that he had given Hamilton the boot, the world would be a better place.
    .
“We don’t belong there and should go home.”
    .
Not “we”, They. True, they should not be, and I’m sickened that my tax money pays for it.

I don’t believe Washington was an “idiot” considering Trenton and he did not take adavantage of his situation and take a title of King. Never the less Nathaniel Green and the rest realized that winning battles on your own turf wasn’t nessessary, just ware down the will of Briton. Same as Charlie in Viet-nam or what we will get in Afganastan. We don’t belong there and should go home.

Nice, yet another piece of history I never knew.

Spanked, because Washington was an idiot who, like Green, kept trying to fight the Brits using the same tactics the Brits used.
    .
It was the militia hit-and-run tactics that beat the Brits, not the Colonial regulars.

“Did the Scott/Irish join up for further battles with the Revolutionary Army?”
    .
    In droves, enthusiastically.

Interesting. Did the Scott/Irish join up for further battles with the Revolutionary Army? I assume so and of course where not discriminated against correct?

Needless to say, that was not tought in any of my history classes here in West Virginia, the heart of Appalachia.

The U.S, Constitution is very similar to the Iroquoise Confederation “Great Law of Peace”. Side by side comparison is striking. This Iroquoise plan dates to 1525….and was the first representative democratic document. Good info on the internet on this.
