FlyFishing Ross Lake

A day of Fly Fishing on Ross Lake, a reservoir that spans the Skagit Valley region of southern British Columba, Canada and the North Cascades of Washington, United States. July and August are the only months when the lake is at full pool, other times there is no water at all on the Canadian side. This video features a few snapshots and short video clips of Mr. Redneck Hillbillies catching a few beautiful rainbow trout on a fly rod, in a small fishing skiff at this picturesque recreational park. Background music is free, royalty free piece by Kevin MacLeod of www.incompetch.com creative commons license with attribution.

actually the minimum is 14″ on Ross lake. Shiners were introduced two yrs ago and the fish have gotten HUGE. You are allowed 2 fish per day, during the summer when the lake is open. Barbless, no bait. Get ready to catch fish as they are voracious up there:)

We only ever catch and release ALL fish we catch, regardless of size. The exception to that rule is the odd salmon which is the only fish we’ll eat.

Aren’t regulations that the fish is supposed to be 13″ minimum or should I assume you did catch and release?
