Petticoat Junction follows the comical misadventures at the family-run Shady Rest Hotel, located in the charming farming community of Hooterville. Kate Bradley (Bea Benaderet) is the hotel’s main proprietor, but she must also keep a watchful eye on the hectic love lives of her three beautiful daughters and contend with the endless get-rich-quick schemes of her brother, “Uncle Joe” (Edgar Buchanan). From creator Paul Henning, the creative mind behind The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction was one of the most successful and beloved comedies of all time.

Same with The Beverly Hillbillies! The b&w ones are my favorites.

Why is it nearly impossible to find episodes with the actual theme song? Even the dvds I have dont use it.

I used to watch this show every week, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen the very first episode. Thanks for sharing it.

These early episodes, to me, were far superior than the later ones.
