    Joe Diffie is a great Vocalist. He can throw it around well. I personally like the way he does this song but George Jones IS the father of traditional country music. Being I’m from Texas Bob Wills will always be the King.

  24. Pedozzi

    I never met, mark, but listening to his songs, playing my guitar really make me feel a little bit near to him.

    Mark Knopfler sozinho é Dire Straits… o resto da banda sem Mark é só uma banda.

  27. Dewailly Gilles

    The best Mark

  28. hollandshoop

    @spirtbrat
    I disagree, Cummings does great things in certain songs

  29. Hobinator17

    danny cummings aint a bad drummer, he definitely doesnt have that Pick Withers sound, but on the ’92 tour and the On The Night live album he was great!!!!

  30. wqerz

    I agree with you, when you say, that Pick Withers has been the best drummer in the history of the Dire Straits, especially his sound was great. He was great on Dire Straits records, but on the latest songs Mark did, Danny fits in perfectly. He´s got much more feeling than for example Ched Cromwell, although Ched is also a great drummer. And I think that Mark Knopfler, the best songwriter in the world wouldn´t have a musician in his band, who is soulless …

  31. mysznamarsie

    @spirtbrat That is modern drumming, keep rythm simple so every change is much more important – it is called contrast: you get more dynamics when play all the time simple and in that one particular moment you hit a tom one more time. It is hard to play like this and I prefer that then strange drums from Alchemy. Nowadays raw and simple drums is what we like.
