Summer’s Over! Vegetable Garden Update & Tour

One last trip through the overgrown jungle that is our veggie garden! We harvested an incredible amount of homegrown organic vegetables from this garden. Stuffed our freezer and enjoyed as much as we could eat fresh. Juicy corn, oodles of beans and sun ripened tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini by the bucketload, and enormous potatoes. That’ll do. Read about our country farm life on our blog theredneckhillbillies.blogspot.com and Git Yer Redneck On! Tees, Mugs, Magnets and more at http

Super nice garden you got there!

The lemon cukes should do well for you! Try to harvest them when they are still young/small, and not too bright yellow so they’re sweet and mild. Otherwise the seeds are huge and the skin is really tough.

Such a beautiful garden- you did such great job! I can hardly wait until I can start my garden properly outside (come on sunshine!). Here in PDX, we have to start many seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before we can plant them outside -around April 26th (toms & bell peppers etc) . Nothing like growing your own-so much better than the store! This year will be my first year to grow Lemon cukes. I’ve never had one, nor are they in stores. Your lemon cukes look so yummy! I can hardly wait to grow them!

Sure, it’s “The Best Relish I’ve Ever Had!” from Allrecipes. ;p I probably didn’t follow it exactly, because I had tons of lemon cucumbers, but I was close – and I threw in a handful of super hot, long skinny peppers in the batch.

are you willing to share your recipe for the hot relish?

If that zucchini were any bigger, you could hollow it out and use it as a garage. :)

btw congrats on a very successful garden this year!

    *high five*

My uncle has one of those,I drive it around all the time

Yeah those have oil filters in them as well that should be changed along with the oil periodically. For gods sake put an air filter on it or its surely not going to last “40 or 50 years”

  15. natedot

Dude, you know what they really like is when you completely change the oil and not just add some every now and then, you can see the dip stick on the first back is black as sin, change it. And it looks like there is no air filter at all on the fat cat. at least put a pod filter right on the carb, they really like clean air without dirt, bugs, etc… mixed in the air.

When ya make a vidio by all means show it of f and take it for a rip and give it hell…
Good job on your build,,,I own a few 200x wheelers myself,,,the second one will be a 200x two wheeler they look fun and can’t wait to trail ride it…
My point is and don’t take it the wrong way but it’s boring to watch you check the gas and oil,,,do it befor shooting vidio lets see what it can do…
