One of my favorite episodes. Disappointed that Charlene did not sing in this one. Days gone by never to be captured again. RIP Andy.

Hi Ultimaniacx. Welcome to Bluegrass & Andy Griffith. The band which often plays on this show called the Darling Family is actually The Dillards (minus the father & daughter. With all due respect to Denver Pyle & Maggie Peterson) They’re are plenty of videos of The Dillards here on Youtube. Be sure to check out Bill Monroe’s videos & Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs too.

I’m 21 and just recently started watching this show. I saw these guys in an episode the other day and thought it was great. I came here looking for more and what do I find? A comment list filled with religious nonsense. Why do the ultra religious have to ruin everything by starting arguments?

– None are soo blind as those who will not see. There is only ONE Bible, there is only ONE Truth. God says a lot in the Bible if people would only spend the time it takes to read and understand it. I don’t have to project my own “beliefs”, I only need to read what God says.

If God is allowed in politics than the church is in charge of everything, then we return to a time of religious persecution where no one is safe from the ruling party in charge. So, is it ok if the ruling party is Islamic, Buddhist, Atheist? Or is it just ok if it is Christian? You assume everyone is the same as you. They are not.

– The Bible IS the absolute truth and word of God. Real Christianity is not at all detrimental to the Human spirit. What IS detrimental is the way in which people try to interject their own religiosity, bigotry, arrogance, and ridiculous assumptions in rather than take what God says in the Bible.

– very interesting that you use the word projecting — because that is what its all about and has always been about – humans projecting human fears and desires to create an image of what god is about – all have limiitations as to really what god is about – we don’t like uncertanty so many gravitate to what ever info ‘ has been collected and assume that whatever is in the bilble is the whole truth – so much of christianity is detrimental to the human spirit – Jesus would be appalled
