yawn………………this aint demos, more like a fight over a parking space !! i ran team demolition on a full size 1/4 mile stock car track……………460 fords with bored motors, roller cams, ported heads, 900 holleys, and 400 shot of nitrous! 60 mile an hour head ons. we only used the front ends, no backup baby crap, buncha girls in this box givin love taps. i would never put this on you tube and you boys would never make it in real demolition racin, yall be scared and go home hurt

yeah, right after I typed that comment I heard the announcer warn someone for driver’s door hits. I understand accidents happen but someone going full speed at someone’s driver’s door is just looking to hurt someone and ruin the fun.

I really appreciate you watching the video and the keen observation.
However, in demolition derbies, accidents happen. With a slippery track, sometimes it’s hard not to accidentally hit a door. While some drivers seem to push the edge, most of our local drivers do a real good job of avoiding driver door hits. Here, it is against the rules to run into the drivers door on purpose. I’ve seen drivers warned and threatened to have their “sticks” broken, but have never seen any snapped.
