Funicello-a-go-go!!! A cool scene from one of the most fabulous TV shows of the ’60s. Supposedly these are the same Enemys seen in a legendary “Beverly Hillbillies” clip, but they sure look different here. Given this program’s propensity for using authentic LA location shots I imagine this was a real go-go club, though I doubt it’s the Whisky.
This is a 1927 original RB1 diamond flange prewar Gibson banjo. Go to banjoonthebrain.com for more info.

Yes in fact I just spotted a couple more dancers from Village of the Giants, this scene along with that movie were filmed at the Whiskey A Go-Go, this was shot there, I thought it looked familiar!

I agree, Annette was way too conservative for this role and it showed but it is still great to see her doing something different. Even her go-go dancing seems just a tad bit repressed. There’s an extra dancing who I also remember seeing in 1965’s Village of the Giaints.
Awesome clip!

hippness was what this show was all about . and gene berry gave it class as well as coolness. this was in the age of charecters bigger then life. sean connery, was taking james bond, to levels never seen in cinama ,and tv was trying to catch up.

I’m just gonna say that as a kid, watching Annette from the Mickey Mouse Club to other things, for a long time I thought she was “colored”, as she looked dark compared to the other women on our black and white tv set. I had a list of women that I loved on sight, she was at the top!

I understand that, as far as older men, that Annette had a big crush on fellow Disney star Guy Williams at one time. I can understand that. But Gene Barry….give me a break. That’s hard to believe. Seems to me that Barry was kind of full of himself, especially in this series.

Funny to see ANNETTE cast against type. Not sure if I’m convinced that this part
was really for her, but hey it’s great to see her in something as rare as this ~ thanks for sharing ~

I was in love with Gene Barry when I was around 7 years old. I never missed an episode of Burke’s Law.
