Maybe somekind of reminiscence of Willy Deville’s “18 hammers” which itself was a cover from Johnny Lee More ? Knopfler and Deville were friends, as far as I remember.
Anyone can recommend some related music. I love this CD so much and I can’t find anything that has this mood and feeling. The other Knopfler albums don’t achieve it.
Listened to the Album whilst travelling to Scotland and Back. Just Amazing and I can’t belive Mark is now in his 60’s. Parents are going to see his live gig in a couple of months, been amazing fans and thanks to them I’m a fan too.
