The Beverly Hillbillies is one of the funniest and most inspired TV comedies of all time! The show was ranked #1 and attracted as many as 60 million viewers per week! The Clampett Clan includes Buddy Ebsen (Jed), Irene Ryan (“Granny”), Max Baer Jr. (Jethro), Donna Douglas (Elly May). Also stars Raymond Bailey (Milburn Drysdale), and Nancy Kulp (Jane Hathaway).
The Clampetts are going home for Christmas and they’re “Leaving on a Jet Plane.” Yes, that’s right, the Clampetts are flying home on TWA and Mr. Drysdale has reserved the entire first class section for them. Mr. Drysdale has also contacted the oil man, Mr. Brewster, to get the Clampett’s cabin ready for them. When cousin Pearl is informed that Mr. Brewster is at the cabin she gets a case of husband fever. Pearl gets Mr. Brewster’s attention but what he proposes is not marriage. I watched Beverly Hillbillies after school in the 70’s. It hasn’t been on anywhere now in years, not even the oldies channels. It’s a shame because this was one of the best things on TV. Now we get nothing but reality tv, no soul, no imagination, just greed and scheming and rude rude people. OMG I sound like such an old fogey now. Whatever, so be it. I loved this show, it was sweet and innocent and it makes me feel good after. Thanks for uploading this it made my day when I stumbled onto it.

The scene where they see the western movie, think they’re being shot at and Jed and Jethro grab the stewardesses is classic.

Granny is great theraphy for me. She’s sooo cute, reminds me of my great grandma in Sri L……so sprightly, full of life. This is so hilarious!!
